叙述一位男孩坠入情网，周围的朋友告诉他千万不要被爱情冲昏了头，要理智一点，可是，对于一个恋爱中的人而言，他怎么听得下去？到头来得到的只是朋友的揶揄及自己的伤心。
该曲是1933年美国音乐剧《罗伯特》中的插曲，Otto Harbach作词，Jerome Kern作曲，流传极广，年久弥新，直到1959年还勇创排行榜佳绩（由帕蒂索.奥斯丁演唱），成为当年流行金曲。
